Hi Jean, Want to respond to your questions: First, yes - I am the Bill Parr who exchanged info with you in the past. I've been working the Parr lines for about 35 years -- and still have a lot to learn. DNA the past three years has really changed the way I look at families. We are just learning this new technology - so the next five years will be great fun. Again -- this family of Parrs don't appear to be mine - except in one connection below. We could be onto something! There is a record that a Thomas Parr born 1778 in Virginia did marry Priscilla Sitton and they did have two children named Burton Parr born 1803 in Columbia, Adair, Kentucky and John Parr born 1805 in Columbia. You would need to prove or disprove the info. I show that Burton Parr married Elvira Leas June 20, 1830 in Crawford. They had a child named Burton Jefferson Parr born 1832 in Indiana. Burton Jefferson Parr married Lucinda Riley and they had eight children: Edward Evert, Cora J, Minnie B, Fannie E, Mary A, Elijah H, Burton Jefferson Parr, and an infant. My database on your William Parr and Elizabeth Webb line shows that his great grandfather was an unknown Parr born about 1682 in England. His son was John Edmund Parr, Sr, followed by John Edmund Parr, jr and then William. William and Elizabeth were married in 1805 in Meade Kentucky, is that right?? They had 11 children. Looks like they were all born and died in Kentucky. I think that Jerry Marvin Parr, born about 1930 in Crawford was the son of Don Berton Parr, who was the son of Willet L Parr, who was the son of Isaac Barton Parr who was the son of Matthias Parr who was my second great grandfather. Presents an interesting challenging doesn't it? How are they connected with your Parr line? I've spent zero time confirming after Willet. I've been to the graves of Isaac Barton Parr and Matthias Parr in Brockville Cemetery in Hunt City, Jasper County, IL. Perfectly maintained today. You asked about Taylor: I'm connected several ways: Montana, Georgia, Wyoming, Tennessee and others. I don't see Indiana - but that doesn't mean they might not be there. Sorry, I erred about the timing on the correspondence -- it was eleven years ago that I exchanged letters with a Dan Parr in Georgetown, Indiana. He was extremely well versed on the Parr line and very generous with information. He wrote that Burton, Oliver and and Priscilla were his great great great grandparents. Dan stated that Thomas Parr and Pricilla Sitton were married in Colombia, Kentucky in 1803. I hope this was of some value - let me know what you think. Thanks for sharing.
