Stephen Parr was a Rev. Soldier, according to DAR records.
See Thwaites & Kellogg; Revolution on the Upper Ohio, 1775 - 1777 p 224 & Frontier Defense on the Upper Ohio, 1777-1778 p 111. In DAR records he is Ancestor #A088052.
He also signed a Petition of some sort, and he served at Grave Creek Fort, 1777. Stephen is reported to have married Mary Davis in New Castle, Delaware, at the Immanuel Church on 14 Sep 1762. I haven't confirmed this date, etc., as yet, but others seem to have the date as well. DAR records indicate that Stephen was born in 1730 in Maryland, but DAR records have been known to be wrong. I would see the proofs, before I made up my mind who is correct. DAR records say Stephen died in 1800 in Ohio County, Virginia, which, I think, is now in West Virginia. Other mention the death place was Mcmechan, Marshall County, Virginia, which is now in West Virginia, I believe. These people say he died in 1798.
