Hi Warren,
A quick posting to assist anyone interested in this search. The John, Matthias and Benjamin Parr lines originally from England, through New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina had already left North Carolina (all were in Wilkes Co) before the referenced John Allen Parr was born. His name is not connected to our family. There was another biologically unrelated Parr line in North Carolina at the same time, perhaps someone researching that line will help.
As a matter of reference there were at least three unrelated Parr lines in Tennessee in the early nineteenth century, including mine. Unfortunately many early Tennessee records were destroyed and there are no copies. It's an interesting research opportunity.
