LITCHFIELD NEWS-HERALD December 14, 1918 DEATH TAKES MRS. ROBBINS AT HOSPITAL With husband ill and several children just recently recovered from serious illness, the death of Mrs. Neva Robbins, which occurred last night at 6:30 o'clock at St. Francis hospital in this city is considered one of the saddest deaths in this city in years. Spanish influenza was the original cause of complications which resulted in her death. Mrs. Robbins was taken to St. Francis Hospital in practically a dying condition several days ago. She continued to grow worse until death finally came to end her sufferingd. Mrs. robbins is survived by five little children and her husband, John Robbins. Three of the little children became ill some time ago, but it is stated that all have recovered. Mr. Robbins has, however, been seriously ill and is now confined to his home, altho his condition was reported to be nearing normal this morning. Mrs. Robbins was born near Hornsby, west of Litchfield, but had spent the greater part of her life in in this city. The family reside at 402 South Harrison street. In addition to her little children and husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard Parnell, who live in the northern section of Litchfield. The oldest child of the deceased, Maynard, is ten years old and the youngest are twins, two years old. the children in addition to Maynard are Lorinne, Abbie Bell, Eldon and Seldon. The funeral of Mrs. Robbins will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The complete arrangements have not yet been made. The funeral arrangements are being made by Carroll & Sons.
