Hi.
I have been reading all of the Giles Parman information and noted some similarity in my family tree with the generations of Jacob Parman and his wife “Marr”, and with their son William Parman and his wife Rachel Woods (or Wood). I have a Jacob Parman with a wife named “Marr” in my family tree. Yours message is the first I’ve come across with the name “Marr”. In my tree I wasn't sure if “Marr” was her first or last name, but see that you have it as the last name.
I have Jacob Parman son, William Parman, with middle initial of “C.”I too, have him with the birth date of May 26, 1827 but with a death year of 1887. The death date is based on information from his wife Obit. on April 09, 1939, which stated her husband had died 52 years earlier. I believed he died in Mo.
I have William’s wife as Rachel Katrinna Woods, who was born in Warrensburg, Mo. later after the death of her husband William, she moving to Oklahoma City, Ok. from Warrensburg in 1889. My family info. shows that William had three wives but I don’t know whom the other two were.
It's possible my William C. Parman and your William A. Parman may be the same man and that my Rachel Katrinna Woods is the same as your Rachael Christine Wood. The middle initial thing seem to be a real sticking point. Oh well, just another mystery to solve.
My family tree ends at Jacob so can’t say if there is a Giles in there or not.
I do have the parent of Rachel Katrinna Woods as William Woods and Polly Wood.Notice the spelling of Woods and Wood. Must have been a common name?
I am related to Williams and Rachel Parman, as they are my GG-Grandparent. They had seven children:
Bob, William J., Mance H., Martha (Mattie) E. (Henderson), Mary (Mollie) A. (PALMER)-my G-Grandmother, Alice Jane (Boosinger), and David Woods.
I hope that this message wasn't too confusing. Any help or info you have will be appreciated.
Sam
