Your Edgar S.(Stanley) Parks b. 26 Feb 1877 Monroe county, Indiana is living with his father, William, and sister, Lillie, in 1900 Census Monroe, Perry, Indiana and therefore can't be E. S. Parks in 1900 Census: Bosque county, Texas operating the pump station. The same as Edgar Samuel Parks in his WWI Registration papers b. 3 Dec 1877.

The closest I could get in 1880 census, 12th civil district, Brodley county, Tennessee is Eddie b. TN, TN, TN abt. 1878 a grandson to Hiram Parks b. 1830 Georgia. Listed below Eddie is Charles Parks, b. 1856, Tennessee son of Hiram. In 1810 and 1820 Census Edgar Samuel's son is listed as "Eddie" same nickname.

What would be good for you is to find the closest "Parks" male cousin and get their dna checked with the Parke society. Ken Parks the coordinator posts in this forum so he shouldn't be hard to find. Do you have Edgar's application for social security number in about 1937? It lists the parents of the applicant.

Are you coming down the tree to the present or going back in history?
