My husband's GGgrandfather was Emmanuel Parks, b.Abt 1849 Grayson Co.Va, son of George Washington Parks and Catherine Comer Parks. Emmanuel first married Rosamond C. Carrico, b. 1850 d.1876 Grayson Co. Va., daughter of Simms Carrico and Susanna Delp Carrico. Emmanuel and Rosamond had the following children: Sarah C., B.1868-69, (listed on 1870 Grayson Co., Va census), Amos Pilgrim, b. Oct 13, 1871, (son of Emmanuel according to cemetary records) and possibly a third child, E. Jennie, b. abt 1873.
Amos Pilgrim Parks is my husband's Ggrandfather. We are trying to find out all the children of Emmanuel Parks. After the death of his first wife, Rosamond C. Carrico in 1876, he married a M.N. Rutherford (possible first name Margaret) about 1876. Am trying to find any children born to this union also.
If you have any info regarding the above, please post. I'm willing to share this Parks lineage with others. Also have Carrico lineage of Rosamond C. Carrico.
By the way, evidently there were two Rosamond Carricos in Grayson County about this same time period which may be causing some confusion. The other Rosamond was born about 1856 and married Enoch Ward in Grayson Co. VA.
