Hello Susan,

That was a lot of work for you. I can't thank you enough. I had a lot of the information that you passed along just not in that detail. Since I posted that request I looked a little harder at the Woodlawn cemetery records, where William and Lucy are buried and found a name William Parkinson on the list of heirs for the Parkinson family plot. I found his number and called him on a whim to see if he was related. Low and behold he is the son of Edward and Lucy ( Carr ) Parkinson. I have been able to put him in touch with my uncle Cyril. I have met with him and he was able to provide me with a lot of information. Not only did I get pictures but he had a copy of Cook Laking's diary and a narrative of William Carrs' voyage to America. Both are very interesting reading. The diary of Cook Laking included a family line that brought me back to Thomas Laking and Mary Stubbs abt 1745.

The hard part of this whole thing connecting the Parkinson family to the Carr family. Finding William was a joy. When my dad was researching his family he went to Rutherford NJ where his grandparents were last located not knowing his cousin was just down the road.

I have some info on the Carr family going back to John and his wife Pricilla abt 1777. I will try that link for Wiliam to see if what I have is good.

Thank you many times over
Jim
