You will need more proof than just the book stating that he served in the Revolution, unless the book was one that listed the PA patriots in the Revolution - PA has a set of several books that list the patriots. Several of the counties have listings of men who participated or gave the 'Oath of Allegiance'. But books on genealogy that mention Recolutionary War service in general are not acceptable, even if it lists the company - it is up to you to find that service record and prove it. Have you tried the National Archives to see if he had a pension record, bounty land warrant or even a military record? If Ezekiel has not been proven for DAR, you will have to provide beyond a reasonable doubt he is your ancestor and he fought as a patriot. I am the registrar of my own DAR chapter and have been for the past 10 years and proving a new ancestor is not always easy. Good Luck.
