From a book about the Parkhurst's called English Family written between 1880 - 1895 is the following: The family emigrated from the Isle of Wight between 1300 and 1400, and built "Parkhurst Manor" in Surrey County, England, between Epsom and Guildford. Here is where we find the earliest authentic record of the family, George Parkhurst, of Guildford, who was the father of Bishop John Parkhurst, born at Guildford, Surrey County in 1511. George Parkhurst was living at Guildfordthe latter part of the 15th century."
George Parkhurst was Mayor Guildford in 1522, 1529 and 1536.
Where do you have the Parkhurst Manor located? Jane
