You may have the graves of the family of Capt. John Parkhill. He left Virginia for Florida in the early 1800's. There is an obelisk on the Florida capital grounds that commemorates his leading troops against the Seminole indians at the battle of Palm Hammock. My proof is kind of thin. When his son George Washington Parkhill was killed in 1862 leading the 2nd Florida Inf. at the battle of Gaines Mills in 1862, his servant took him to his childhood home in Richmond to be waked. Your home may be on that land. You should be able to check the title.
