Dear Pamela Kimlinger: These are not my Parkers, but the census data is very convincing that they are yours:

Amos Reynolds died in Missouri in 1908.

In 1880, Amos Reynolds was a widower living again in Iowa with teen son Jacob in home of married daughter "Carpy" or Carpelona and her family.

Before June, 1880, Ruby Cloud Parker Reynolds died. Death site was either Missouri or Iowa, unclear.

In 1870, Amos Reynolds and wife Ruby Reynolds lived in Barton Co., Missouri with four children.

In 1867, Amos and Ruby Reynolds lived in Iowa where son Jacob was born.

In 1860, Amos Reynolds, his wife Ruby lived in Fulton Co. Illinois. He enlisted in the Civil War in 1863.

In 1857 Amos Reynolds b. 1839 married Ruby Cloud Parker b. 1837 in Fulton Co., Illinois. Their wedding date was November 13, 1857.

In 1856, Amos Reynolds was enumerated on the Iowa state Census living with his parents Solomon Reynolds and wife Jane Cousins Reynolds and several siblings. Apparently the elder Reynolds had lived in Vermont.

In 1850, Ruby Parker b. 1837 Illinois was living with her parents in Knox County, Illinois. Ruby’s parents were Andrew Parker b. 1783 Pennsylvania and Polly Parker, maiden name unknown, b. 1799 Vermont. Polly was blind.

During period before 1840, the Andrew Parker family lived in Michigan where several of their older children were born. By 1837, the family moved to Illinois where some younger children were born.

In 1837, daughter Ruby C. Parker was born to Andrew Parker and wife Polly. Ruby was born in Illinois.
--------------------
I can agree that the first and middle names of your ancestor, Ruby Cloud Parker, have an unusual ring to them, but I found nothing in Ruby’s personal history that even hints at a Native background. No references were found to reservations; Ruby’s known years prior to marriage were spent with her parents on various farms; her married life, was spent in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri with her husband and children.

I hope that this information will be useful. Good luck in your research.
