I'd like some comments about this document, especially the spelling of the Navasota and Henry Parker of Coles Co., Illinois.

the same to be admitted on record[.] John P. Coles _____

Transcribed by Bob Winn from a photocopy of the original document recorded in Deed Book A, page 361, County Clerk of Washington Co., Texas.

Note 1: The word Navasotte is questionable. There is little doubt that the Parkers settled on the Navasota River, but the actual word in this document begins with or is preceded by what looks like the letters "et." The following letters could be Navasotte, but the letters "tt" are not crossed.
