JAMES B. PARKER - born 1822 (VA?), died in 1867, and was buried in Mud Meeting House Cemetery in Mercer, Kentucky.

James Parker was a physician who attended Transylvania University in Lexington, KY in 1847-48. While at school, his home address was listed as Danville, Boyle, KY. On the the 1850 Barren County, KY Census, James was a boarder at the home of Daniel Stark. I also have documents that place him practicing medicine in Platte County, MO in 1852.

He married Sarah Elizabeth PHELPS(1831-1900) of Platte County, Missouri around 1855. James and Sarah E. Phelps Parker had four daughters, the three youngest, at least, born in Harrodsburg, Mercer, KY:

1. Mary Parker, b.1856, d.1872 (also buried in Mud Meeting House Cemetery in Mercer, KY)

2. Sarah Ella Parker, b.1859. Married Isaac Wickersham.

3. Lucy J. Parker, b.1862. Married David V. Johnson.

4. Effie A. Parker, b.1865. Married Richard Thompson.

I'm trying to find a family for James B. Parker. He's hard to pin down, and there are other men with the same name. Any help out there?
