The data from Susan Nass is, as always, very compelling and evidently just what you were looking for. In addition, I just ran across a Rootsweb listing by Pat Peirson about one of her relatives, Richard Stephen Parker who was also born 1853 in Aylsham, Norfolk, England. An English birth record and an 1861 census are also available. This Richard migrated to New South Wales, Australia with his family where he died 1923. Considering the names, birthdates, and Aylsham locations, that man may be a relative. Genealogy is so much fun.
