In checking the records of Stonington, Ct. for William Parke, born July 11, 1678 I found that the William, born on July 11th 1678 was the son of William Parke not Samuel. There were only three William’s in the records :
William, s. of William, b July 11, 1678
William, s. of Samuel, b. July 10, 1698
William, s. of William, b Oct. 31, 1701
Based on this information I would think that the William born July 11, 1678 and who married Jane Bordwin, on May 9, 1699 in Stonington is the son of William Parke but which one?
William son of Samuel who was born on July 10, 1698 was the William who married Mary Lonson, on Feb 21, 1721 /2 by Rev. Ephraim Woodbridge of Groton.
The William Parke born on Oct 31, 1701 was the son of William 3 Parke and Jane Bordwin, he married Christoble Harris on Feb 6, 1781 in Plainfield, Ct.
Was William Parke, (Thomas 2, Robert 1) married more then three times after all he was bapt. in 1654 could he have married someone before his marriage to Hannah Frink , he was about 30 in 1684 when they were married. It there still another wife missing ?
Can anyone can help with these questions.
