I would love to correspond with you. Maybe together we could figure out some mysteries about these families.
I have the Susannah Rainwater who married Wm. Lewis- and if I am correct, Susannah had a sister - Jane- ( who either did not marry or married a Rainwater ) Jane had a son James T. Rainwater who married cousins Susan and Milly Parris - Susie was sister to my great grandmother- Nancy Parris who married William Washington Wisener. Nancy Templine Parris Wisener was daughter of Nathaniel Jefferson Parris and Nancy Horton- who were the grandparents of Napoleon Jefferson "Pole" Parris.
The Nathaniel Greenberry Parris who parried Mary Lewis was son of Elias Parris who was brother to the above mentioned Nathaniel Jefferson Parris.
William Washington Wisener ( above) had a sister named Mary Ann, whose 1st husband was John F. Lewis (1841 - c 1866 civil war) In 1860 they lived near Jane Rainwater. I do not have the parents of John F. Lewis. I have a note that John F. Lewis moved from Al. to Ga. in 1850. After John F. Lewis did not come home from Civil War, Mary Ann married William Barrow and had at least 6 children. Mary Ann and John F. had a son William John Oliver "WJO" Lewis who was raised by Mary Ann's parents, Jeremial & Ellender Wisener. I doubt if this Mary Ann is the Mary in the house with your Wm. Lewis, since she was married to a barrow at that time and according to my records she was born 2 13 1842.
I think your William Lewis and the John F. Lewis who married Mary Wisener are surely kin.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Also I would love to have any information you can give me on Napoleon Jefferson Parris' family. I would like to have dates and any further information on his children.
