This is a story about R F. Pardew from the History of Craighead Co., Ark.

When the Iron Mt. railroad built through the county in the early eightys and the citizens of Jonesboro refused to give a bonus, the railroad established the town of Nettleton. In the year 1889 Nettleton contained a post office and three or four business houses. R. F. Pardew and and J. W. Roy were early merchants.
