Hi Clovis, My gggrandmother was Amanda Stewart,Smoot,Byars. She married Daniel Webster Byars, after My gggrandfather William Smoot was killed in the Civil War, My great grandfather Burton Charles Smoot and Mary Ann (Mollie)Smoot and Martha Jane Smoot were the step children of Daniel W.Byars. I have been wondering about the name of Pardue also, Since after she married Daniel Byars they had children, one daughter named Nancy and then the twin Named Walter Pardue. My gggrandmother Amanda Stewart parents were William Stewart and Nancy ??? and they were living in Polk County, Arkansas when Amanda Stewart was born, It is just speculation, I realize. co-incedents , I don't know. She also named one of sons William Stewart Byars, so that fits. Let me know if you have heard more on this, Please. Bessie Ledbetter
