I'm getting back into researching family ties a bit now, and have purchased Family Tree Maker 9. I'm very much enjoying my subscription to the World Family Tree. I've come across some very interesting things. One of them, though, puts me in quite an impasse. I'm a bit confused about the lineage of Toliver Daniel Pardue from good ol' John Pardue.
In the data that I have (this particular part coming from Tom Pardue) and in the data from Kathleen Hendrick, the lineage to Toliver Daniel Pardue is as follows:
John Pardue by Sarah Moore had a son named Richard, who had a son named Leroy (keep this in the back of your mind for a moment). By Sarah Adams, he had a son named Joel who married Martha Norrell who had a son named Leroy, who married Elizabeth West. They had a son named Toliver Daniel.
However, in the data in the World Family Tree, volume 51 tree 1998, and volume 50 tree 2076, This is Toliver Daniel's lineage from John:
John by Sarah had a child named Richard. Richard in turn married a woman named Sarah, and had a son named Leroy. Leroy married Elizabeth West and had a son named Toliver Daniel. HOWEVER, John also by Sarah he had a son named Joel, who married Martha Norrell, who had children Betsy, Elihue, Polly, and Lee... none of which lead to Toliver.
Which is correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
