Researching my husband's family in the American Revolution I was sent a fascinating document on the Battle of New Haven, Conn. (including the attack on East Haven)July 5-6, 1779.
An "Isaac Pardee" is said to have been decapitated by a cannon ball at the tail end of this battle. Can anyone tell me which East Haven Pardee family this Isaac may have belonged to? There is no indication of his age or anything else about his family.
The document also lists various other Pardees whose homes were burned and plundered and who were wounded by the British during this invasion. If anyone is interested in having this information or having it posted, please let me know.
Thanks!
