Parcher-McElvaine marriages
I am a g-g-g-g-g-g-g-granddaughter of Elias Parcher and Grace Allard (Grace being the daughter of James Allard(son of Hugh Allard & Grace Tucker) and Honor Wallis). I have been tracing my family genealogy for 12 years and have found some confusing information. I know from the 1880 census records that my gggggrandmother, Dorotha/Dorothy Parcher was listed as being widowed and the following are listed as living with her in Jennings, Putnam, Ohio:
NAME RELATION MARITAL STATUS AGE BIRTHPLACE FATHER/MOTHER BIRTHPLACE
Dorotha PARCHERselfW55NYNYNY
George PARCHERSonM29OHVTNY
Lyman PARCHERSonS27OHVTNY
Patience PARCHERDauD40OHVTNY
Anne K. PARCHERDauS34OHVTNY
Anne H. PARCHERDauLM28OHOHOH
Benonie E.PARCHERGSonS8OHOHOH
Lyman J. PARCHERGSonS6OHOHOH
Wesley PARCHERGsonS4OHOHOH
Stanton PARCHERGSonS2OHOHOH
Albert PARCHERGSonS2MOHOHOH
Andrew MCELVAINEGSonS15OHOHOH
It has also come to my attention that Patience was married to a man named David Sherrick and that after they divorced, David Sherrick then married Patience's sister, Asenath and had one child. Right now I am trying to figure out if the grandson listed, ANDREW MCELVAINE, is the son of Lucy PARCHER, as I have been seen indications that this Lucy died before 1880 from Cholera. Does anyone know if this is Lucy's son or if this Lucy did actually die from cholera?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Blessings,
Peggy S. Lacy (Ronald Green, Opal Edens, Lillian McClain, Joseph McClain, Louisa PARCHER, George PARCHER, Daniel PARCHER, George PARCHER, Elias PARCHER)
