Vincent Paradis and Thérèse/Esther Gagnon
I'm trying to straighten out some confusion.
I have found two different dates for the marriage of Vincent Gagnon and Marie-Thérèse (sometimes listed as Esther) Gagnon, who were married in Rivière-Ouelle and moved to the Madawaska settlement in the 1830s.
One date is 21 Jan 1788
The other is 14 Sep 1812.
Given the ages of their children, I find the latter date much more likely, but wanted to see if anyone had more info on this.
I've found that in the 1850 US census of Madawaska Plantation, the census taker has included members of the Bonaventure Lizotte family, including his wife Julie, in the "Pairdy" family. Bonaventure is listed (as "Domeventa Scott") immediately after the household headed by "Remain D. Pairdy", on p.145b.
Also: Dates of death for Vincent and his wife? And are the twins Anastasie and Vital (b. about 1827) Paradis or Lizottes?
Thanks.
