Paquin Family Genealogy Forum
Thank you for your reply. I have found out that on the birth certificate of Marie Henrietta Boucher or Henrietta Marie Boucher, who was put up for adoption, Mothers name was Marie Paquin and Father Edward Bouchard but had Different Addresses. So, I'll assume they weren't married. I'm back to looking for her mother with the maiden name of PAQUIN. She was referred to on different doucments as Mary Paquin, Marie Paquin, Alice Mary Paquin, Marie Boucher, or Mrs. Edward Boucher. I did have her birth date wrong and being 26 when Henrietta was born in 1922, she must have been born in Montreal, Canada about 1896. I have done a lot of research but feel I need a copy of the original papers of all documentation such as birth certificate, Baptismal Certificate, and correspondence with the Orphanage that Henrietta has received over the years. As I mentioned Henrietta or Marie was adopted by a lovely family, and her adoptive mother had even tried helping her over the years, but with Henrietta, age 80, and many not knowing what computers can do today, my heart really wants to help her put her mind at ease as to where her birth parents are buried. I've never looked for an adoption before and am surprised I can't find the usual census, SSDI, Immigration etc. records that I can peg a person down to an original family. Another name mentioned on a paper was an aunt of Marie Paquin by the name of Miss Evalina Antaya, I think also born in Montreal. Anyway, if you have anything on the mother Marie/Mary Paquin born in Montreal about 1896 we would appreciate any leads. I've found people who are into family history to be so understanding, and helpful, as I am to them. I guess we know that one little clue could give us that lead we've been searching for. Thank you again so very much.
