Hello to both, Cassandra and Paul :
Sophie Paquin is the sister of Hyacinthe Paquin, born in Ste-Genevieve. Hyacinthe Paquin married Basilice Bélanger in St-Jérôme before settling in St-André-d'Argenteuil.
Hyacinthe and Basilice are my wife's great great grandparents. There are several Paquin families in St-André, but few around here in Hawkesbury. For a while, we lived near Vaudreuil and dealt with an old hardware store in Ste-Genevieve operated by a Paquin family. The store is still there facing the river.
My mother is a Boileau descendant of Ste-Genevieve, while my father has Côté and Chenay from Sault-au-Récollet, Island of Montreal.
