thank you very much. I had nothing on the Paquin family and holes in the Rocque family that you covered very nicely. As a matter of idle curiousity, our family name changed at the discretion of many parish priests over the years even between siblings. It now has stabilized to Rock because we are all literate and this cant happen. The last fiasco was when the Ontario government transferred all the parish records in Toronto. Virtually every christian name in the family got anglicised. In my family Armand became Herman, Dora became Doris, Daniel became Donald and Girard became Gerard. The gov't will only correct them for a fee and doesnt volunteer the service.
