My great grandfather was Narcisse Paquin married to Rose Anna (nee Boucher)and they lived on a farm around the Lake Temiscamingue, Ville Marie, St Bruno De Guigues area. They (french catholic)had 5 girls and 5 boys. Two of the girls (16 & 17)were married in 1876 to 2 Antaya brothers (30 & 33) who worked in the lumber field across the river or lake. My mother is 87 and remembers making the trip to the area in 1917. Does anyone have further information about the descendents and whether there was a Metis community in the area? Any leads would be appreciated.
Thank you
Great grand daughter
Diane Clare
