Hi Chris,

Thank you very much for the information. I had been searching for so long for PAQUETTE, as my Pepere spells his name today, and it did not occur to me that the name may have been changed when the family came to the US. I certainly am learning by trial and error doing French Canadian research, and lovin' every minute of it too!

Although I do not know of any sibling names for Joseph Charles PAQUET, I do know a marriage date. It was actually another researcher on the GenForum, Evelyn Theriault, that gave me the information.

Note: All parents alive on date of marriage

Louis Paquet, son of Pierre Paquet and Adeline Charest
married Sara Brisebois,
daughter of Joseph Brisebois and Henriette Lepage
Date: July 2nd, 1867
Parish: Ste Anne
Location: Ste Anne des Monts, Gaspe, Quebec, Canada

Perhaps this information has more clues for you to go by.
