Hi Chris, Thank you very much for the information. I had been searching for so long for PAQUETTE, as my Pepere spells his name today, and it did not occur to me that the name may have been changed when the family came to the US. I certainly am learning by trial and error doing French Canadian research, and lovin' every minute of it too! Although I do not know of any sibling names for Joseph Charles PAQUET, I do know a marriage date. It was actually another researcher on the GenForum, Evelyn Theriault, that gave me the information. Original Query - Post# 1312 dated 28 Sep 2007 Follow-up Posts - #1314 & 1315 dated 29 Sep 2007 & #1316 dated 3 Oct 2007 Joseph Paquet, son of Louis Paquet and Sara Brisebois married Marie Gaudelie Leopold Mckinnon, daughter of Louis Mckinnon and Josephine Marquis Date: July 17th, 1894 Parish: St. Jerome Location: Matane, Quebec, Canada Note: All parents alive on date of marriage Louis Paquet, son of Pierre Paquet and Adeline Charest married Sara Brisebois, daughter of Joseph Brisebois and Henriette Lepage Date: July 2nd, 1867 Parish: Ste Anne Location: Ste Anne des Monts, Gaspe, Quebec, Canada Perhaps this information has more clues for you to go by. I truly appreciate you taking the time to help me. If there is ever anything I can look into for you in RI, let me know.
