Renee:

Finding which Pannell line you are related to is tricky, at best.
I mentioned that John Pannell was my ancestor from Accomack Co., VA. He had two sons - one was John Jr.. The other was Thomas.

John from Accomack also had a brother named Thomas. He lived in Sommerset Co., MD. He had two sons - one was Thomas, Jr. The other was John.

See how things can get confused.

Thomas - John's son from Accomack - had a daughter who married a Kay/Key and a man named Swinburne (sp?) and I believe someone named Bland.

Francis Stone, son of John Stone, married a Pannell and when Francis died, his widow married George Calvert of Stafford Co., VA

John Stone's brother was Capt. William Stone. He arrived in Accomack Co., VA in the early 1600's and became a Commissioner. Later he moved to Maryland and became the first Protestant Governor of Maryland under Lord Baltimore.

Capt William Stone and his brother John were also born in Northamptonshire, England.

Richard
