I am trying to find information of my ancestor, John Panel, Pannel, Pannell, Pennel, Pennell etc. b. 1791 in Mecklenburg Co., NC. His family moved to Knox Co., TN area between 1791-1813. He enlisted in 1813. He married Jane Kelso McClanahan in 1819 in Blount Co., TN. Their children: Miriam b. 1819, Perry b. 1820, John B.H. b. 1825, Grizzy Jane b. 1830. He is on the 1830 census of Monroe Co., TN and also 1840. Jane died between 1840-1850. John sold his land and moved to Polk Co., TN and is on the 1850 census living with his daughter Miriam Webb and her family. He died in 1854. Is he connected to Littleton Pannel on the 1830 Monroe Co., census? Is he connected to the John Pannel that married in Roane Co., TN and moved to Blount Co., Alabama? I have noticed that some folks are mixing that John's information up with mine. Are there any more Pannells from Mecklenburg Co., NC? Any help at all is extremely welcome...thank you ...
