There were Pannells who appeared in Amherst Co., VA around 1760 or so who are believed by some to be descendants of Thomas Pannell II, younger son of Thomas and Katherine. It appears that some of them migrated to KY and MO. If you have not already done so you might want to go back to some postings in 2005 and check with them. The subject of one is William B. Pannell.

Also, on I found a descendancy chart called "Herndon Family" by Gene Herndon who seems to have done research on that group. It includes some of the same names. You might pick it up by going on Google and searching if you don't have Ancestry.
