These were given to me by another researcher so I don't have a personal knowledge of them. My own research has been in South Carolina records and later in North Carolina. For instance, in 1810 there was an estate settlement in Fairfield District/Co. SC for William Pannell Jr. that named all 8 of his children and wife whose name was Elizabeth, some believe she was a Seymour but there is no real proof of that as far as I know. The children's names were Simeon, Barbary, Ester, Zachariah, Thomas, William Semor, Dove and Martin. In 1820 an Elizabeth showed up in Rutherford Co. NC census records. In 1840 Dove Panel and Martin "Panier" were listed in Rutherford Co. In 1850 Martin was in Cleveland Co and Dove was in Rutherford Co. with their families. I have quite a bit on their descendants.

The names of Martin Luther and his family were from an old drawing of a family tree given to me by a lady in Utah who had been to one of their family reunions. I think it may have been done no later than 1961.

Martin Coleman Pannell son of Woodward, grandson of Martin born 19 Jan 1862 NC died Jun 1946 NC married Sarah Emma Young in 1886. She was born 1868 TN and died 1949 NC

Children were all born in NC
1. George Clayton born 1886 died 1887
2. Maggie Elizabeth born 1887 died 1967 married George E. Goforth.
3. Mary Louise born 1889 died 1973 married a Wilson
4. Lorena May born 1891 married a Slagle
5. Charles Edgar born 20 Mar 1894 married married Valiree Glover
6. Susan Carrie born 1897 married a Jones
7. Lucy Anna born 1900
8. Martin Luther born 1901 died 1932
9. Nora Eugenia born 1904 died 1924 married a Rudisill
10. John Wayyne born 1906
11. Dasie born 2 Dec 1910

I have a lot of loose papers that I think might help you and would be happy to make copies and mail to you if you wish to email me your mailing address. Otherwise if you have anything specific you want to know let me know. For a while I had subscriptions to and and was able to fill in a lot of gaps.

Also you might check out some earlier postings on GenForum as I believe there were some for the earlier Martin Coleman Pannell posted.

I'm always interested in new data to add to mine and would be pleased with anything you might wish to tell me. I don't do heavy research any more but add anything new to what I already have.

Good Luck,

Sarah Price
