My mother was born in Gut Schoenfled, Russia on February 1/1918. She immigrated to Canada in 1925 and eventually settled in Rostern, Saskatchewan with her mother Sara, and siblings, Jacob, and Sara.

Her father was Gerhard Pankratz who was killed by Bolshevik Revolutionaries on August 19/1918. Gerhard's father was Heinrich Pankratz who was married to Katerina Thiessen.

Her mother Sara (born Nov 30/1880 in Gut Reinhoff, Russia) passed away on May 28/1969 in Winnipeg, Canada. Her father was Jakob Schroder. Jakob's parents were from Prussia and their names were Anna Wieler (1827 - 1908) and Gerard Schroder (1827 - 1908). Gerard Schroder's father was Wilhelm Schroder (1761 - 1829) and mother was Helena Schroder (Reimer)(1789 - 1827). And that's where I dead end.
