I am Kay Cunningham Hilburn. My grandmother was a grandchild of Isabella Ann and Wm. Alfred Pankey. My grandmother's mother was Mary Wilson Pankey Bissell.I remember my grandmother (Anna Rose Bissell) speaking about the Pankey's when I was a child.
There is a book called: John Pankey of Manakin Town, Virginia and his descendants by George Edward Pankey.
Olivia Pankey would have been my grandmother's aunt, Mary's sister.Mary died very young leaving 3 small children. Her husband married Suzy Pankey and they had 10 children.Suzy and Mary and Olivia were sisters.
William Alfred did fight in the Civil War, came home and married Isabella Ann Cunningham.I think he was a farmer in String Prairie. There were some doctors in the Pankey line but I don't remember that he was one.
I would welcome any questions you might have about the families. There is another book that includes the Pankey family, Hugh Wilson, A Pioneer Saint by T. M. Cunningham.
Isabella Ann was his granddaughter.
