Thanks so much for posting your information. I was afraid no one was using this forum any more. I found a family listing in the 1860 census which lists Matty and Charles, however the parents are listed as Mathew and Jane Pankey. I thought that was strange but perhaps the census was not transcribed correctly. Their birth years matched info I had on Mastin and Ione. Incidently Mastin was a carpenter and served in the Confederate Navy as a ships carpenter. He was captured in April 1863 and spent the rest of the war as a POW in Alton Prison in Illinois.
