african-american/caucasian Pankeys
I was surprised recently to learn that Pankey is a much more common name than I had thought.I was also surprised to learn that there are a large number of african-american Pankeys, especially in the east.
So a general question:does anyone know whether this is a result of inter-marriage or was the name taken by emancipated slaves?
