Elizabeth PANK married my GGGGgranfather William KEMP on 23 November 1818 at Blundeston in Suffolk UK. She was born at Henstead in Suffolk in either 1795 or 1796. William was at the time of their marriage living in Chedgrave. Once married he is know to have been a manservant living in Lound. The couple reappear as publican and wife at the Shakespeare public house in Norfolk (1836-39) followed by the Tuns, Norfolk 1840-64.
Two other PANK relatives have also been identified, being:
Pleasance Priscilla PANK who was a witness at William and Elizabeth's marriage, and who subsequently married George GLASSPOOLE at Gorleston on 10 January 1825.
Honor (also Honour)PANK who was again witness, along with Robert CROSS, whom she married at Lound 23 November 1818 - the same date as William and Elizabeth. Must have been a rush between the churches!
It is possible that they may be related to a PANK who was blacksmith at Lound at about this time.
I'd be delighted to hear from anyone who can provide further information on the PANK family from this area.
