Hi Amy,
I'm your cousin Bob Panek from NJ. It's been several years since I talked with your sister Angie when she was in Puerto Rico. I also talked with your Dad a while back when he phoned me and said "Hi Bob Panek, this is Bob Panek". What a surprise that was with both of us having the same names. My full name is Robert Steven Panek, (middle name taken after my grandfather Steven Panek).
My Grandfather Steve (Istvan) Panek and your Great Grandfather Matus (Mathew) Panek were brothers. They were born in Trstena, Slovakia. Matus was born in 1877 and Istvan in 1872. There were 5 other brothers and 2 sisters whose names and birthdates I also have. I've done lots of research on the Panek line from Trstena, Slovakia back to your Great Great Great Great Grandfather Andreas Panek born in Trstena abt 1790.
I'll print out all the info and send it to you when I get your address. I use a genealogy program "Family Tree Maker" which makes it easy to compile family information. I started researching about 10 years ago.
