Micha My husband's grandmother was Anna Panek, born 9 May 1879, from Debicki County, Pilzno, village of Zwiernik, (I think that's how it goes). Her parents were Michael Panek & Hedwig Gawlik?. We know nothing more than her parents names. Anna Panek arrived in the Port of New York on June 20, 1905 via the S S Princess Alice, destination Chicago to her brother, Jozef Panek. Anna Panek married Jan Trojan on Aug 15, 1906 in St John Cantius Church in Chicago. From the obit of her brother, Jozef Panek, who's wife was Marya/Maria LNU, their children are: Sons: Michal & Wladyslaw - twins, Thomas, Edward, Jan, Henryk Daughters: Katarzyna & Bronislawa Sisters: Anna Torczon, Agnieska Chmiel, Helena Wojcik Brothers in law: Jan Torczon, Wawczyniec Chmiel, Jozef Wojcik I believe the Anna and Jan Torczon mentioned in Jozef Panek's obit are Anna and Jan Trojan, my husbands grandparents. We have been told by my husbands parents that the name Trojan didn't change when Jan/John Trojan came to America but I am having my doubts.. even though we have the Ellis Island records that he arrived at the Port of New York on April 12, 1892 and is listed as Jan Trojan. Got off the Panek's now didn't I - but if any of these Panek's or the place they were from connects to your Panek lines I would appreciate a reply.
