I know these posts are pretty old by now, but I have to add that while looking through and translating my Great Grandmothers marriage certificate, I see that I have what looks like a Johanna (or Johannes) Gondera as one of the witnesses to the marriage. I wonder if this is an aunt, uncle, or cousin?
They lived in Osada, Orava Slovakia.
My GGrandmother's name was Elizabeth Dlabik, married Jan Guczky in 1919. Looks like the certificate was issued to them shortly before they left for New Jersey in 1921.
