Hi Ellen This information is from the Pancoast Family in America book hope it helps ya.
John Stephen Pancoast, son of Joshua and Sarah (Willson) Pancoast was born Sept, 11, 1812 in Loudon Co. Va.
He married Nov 15, 1838 to Louisa Smith, born Dec. 10 1818. and lived on a farm near Silcott Springs and were members of the Goose Creek Friends Meeting near Lincoln.

Their old bible was in the possesion of Henry T. Pancoast of Purcellville, Va. in 1946

Their children were all born at Silcotts Springs

Children were
Stephan Wilson b. 8-15-1840 d. 11-6-1865 burried Goose Creek. Wilson came home from the cicil war and died of Smallpox

Samuel Thompson b. 5-15-1842 married Lydia Allice Taylor
he died 8-3-1884

Joseph Henry b. 4-15-1844 married Ruth Fenton

Sarah Jane b. 11-29-1846 married Thomas Hatcher

William Penn b. 8-10-1852 married 1st. Jennie Paxton
married 2nd Lidia Tavernor
William Penn Lived in Purcellville ,Va.

Mary Etta b. 3-7-1858 married Heaton Paxson.


The birth records were taken from the Old Pancoast bible in care of Henry T. Pancoast a grandson and owner of Forrest Home in 1946
