My gggrandmother was Clara V. Lownes of Philly/Camden area. We have been told that we are related to Betsy Ross, and I am trying to trace the family from both ends. Betsy's sister Sarah Griscom married William Donelson, their daughter Sarah Donelson married James Pancoast Lownes/Lowndes/Loundes. Any further info on descendants would be appreciated! And ancestors, if it turns out I'm on the right track.
