Hi Emily,my husband's grandfather was Arthur Alexander Douglas.
I don't know if you were given the information of Andrew's ancestors by Lori Douglas, but it is incorrect. The family that landed in New Brunswick was the wrong family. She was given this information by another researcher, and took it to be that of our family. Unfortunately it was undocumented and there was no connection.

Andrew was born in Ireland, his parents were Crawford and Jane Trew. Both Crawford and Jane were born in Ireland, but I firmly believe that Crawford's ancestors came from Scotland originally,as told by family history.

From my knowledge, none of my husband's family have ever known about the family's Irish ancestry.

I met Lori on-line, and we started working together on the family history. It was about two weeks before she became ill and passed away that I discovered the Irish connection. She was so excited about my news, and was going to change her Family Tree once she got better.

So,Emily which of Andrew's children are you descended from ?
If you would be able to use my e-mail address to reply to me it might be better,as I have lots more to tell you and also some photos.

Looking forward to hearing from you with your stories.
