Am a bit late with this message but I just discovered it. My Aunt Silvia Polo Hooper was married to Domingo Varela. He also came from Spain and I believe Jose Varela was his brother. I remember my mother talking about Dona Raquela. Strangely enough a few years ago I discovered that the grand father of my mother and Aunt was from the Arjona family in Pese. He was Daniel Polo Arjona married to Inez Valdez Marquez. My mother was born in Pese but grew up in Las Minas.
