Any word on whether a list of workers from Martinique or Guadaloupe exists? My grandfather, Albert Toussaint LISER, worked at the Panama Canal some time before 1924. I have no idea when he left Martinique. However, I do know when he left for Baltimore, MD in the U.S. he was a bookeeper. I have little yto no info on his family except he was born in Lamentin on November 1, 1896 and his mother, Christine LISER, was 19 years old when she went to register his birth.

Also, very close friends, who seemed to "adopt my grandfather, were the Couze famile. I believe he met them in Panama, with one listed as the closesgt family member/friend in Panama. Of the Couse family members I know are Robert and Sylvia.

Any info on how to find workers from Marinique and/or Guadeloupe would be much appreciated.
