Prominent Mendez Family
Posted by: B Powers (ID *****0929) Date: August 06, 2004 at 19:35:49

My great grandfather was named, Erasmo Mendez. He served as an ambassador for Panama and also served as Chief Magistrate of the Panamanian Supreme Court around the 1930's. This is all the info I have on him other than a fact that a cousin or brother may have been the president of Panama at some point in time.

It is estimated that he was around 50 years old when he died, which might have been around 1933. My grandmother came to the United states a few years later and she passed away in 1999, so getting information from family members has been limited.

I have no other information about his family and would like to find out who his parents were and anything else about the Mendez family.

Thank you!
