Chris, Thank you very much for your detailed and very prompt reply to my message. I find thereby that I need your help with my Pamplin connection much more than I realized. I trace my Pamplin connection to Jane Jennie (Pamplin}Wyatt as follows: My paternal grandmother was Mulvina Varner Wyatt, 1865-1945. She was born in Coosa Co., AL; died in Travis Co., TX She daughter of William M. Wyatt, 1834-1898; born in GA, died in Blanco Co., TX. He son of Thomas M. Wyatt, 1808-1873; born in GA, died in AL. He son of Thomas Ballard Wyatt, c.1755-1830; born in VA, died in GA. He a veteran of American Revolution. He son of John Wyatt (c.1731-1784) & wife Elizabeth Smith; he born in Caroline Co., VA; died in Spotsylvania Co. VA. He son of John Wyatt (c. 1684-Jan 1751/52)and his wife Jane Jennie Pamplin (1690-c.1749). The information that I have is that her father was Nicholas Pamplin; and I had assumed that this Nicholas Pamplin was the Nicholas who, with his brother Robert, was the co-founder of the Pamplins in America. This had been the basis of my thinking, apparently in error, that I was descended from him. So, I must now ask you who was the Nicholas Pamplin, father of Jane Jennie Pamplin, and how does he fit into the extended Pamplin family in America? I see that you give the place of birth of Jane Jennnie Pamplin as England. I have seen it indicated that she and John Wyatt married in England, but I have been skeptical, for I have found no reliable record that the John Wyatt that she married ever went to England. I have seen it said that he was a ships' captain, sailing a merchant ship of trade between England & America. But, again, I have found no reliable authority to confirm such. I will appreciate your advising me in this matter also. Thus, I am looking forward to your giving me all the information that you have on Jane Jennie Pamplin and her ancestors, along with how and when she and her family came to America, and also the information that you have on her husband and her immediate family. I might add that I have had great difficuly in tracing my Wyatt ancestors, and only was able to break into them about a year ago - after some 10 years of casting about unsucccessfully. So, I am especially appreciative of your giving me the information that you have. Charles Notify Administrator about this message?
