I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is Edwin S. Palmiter b. c. 1833 in New York. He enlisted 15 Aug 1862 at Albion, Dane Co. WI. In 1860 he was working as a farm laborer for Thor Palmiter. No relationship given. He d.27 Dec 1862 on the hospital boat on the Mississippi. He never married
We need a complete birth date, the names of both his parents, their birth, death, burial info & the names of his siblings if any and their birthdates.
This is all the information we have. If you can help us fill in any of our blanks we would be grateful.
