Dear Adam,
I am descended from a family named PALMATARY. The immigrant founder of the Palmatary's came to Delaware in the late 1600's. From there descendents spread all over the eastern seaboard. I would suggest you ask other Palmiters to search back and look for a possible connection to the Palmatary family. I suggest this because there where known descendents of Robert Palmatary that used various spelling of Palmaterie
