Ciao,
I am an Italian American seeking ties to Termini Imerese or thereabouts. My great grandfather was born in 1859 in Termini Imerese. His name was Augostino Palmisano. He married Anna Amato in 1892 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a fruit vendor in Lincoln, St Louis,MO, and Omaha, NE.
Although I do not know when he moved to the USA, he became a citizen in 1903. I believe he passed away in Omaha in 1909.
I am going to be visiting Sicily in early May 2005, and will be spending some time around Termini and Palermo and would love the opportunity to meet some distant relatives.

By the way, I am a relative of the PalmEsano family of Northern California, also with many cousins in Omaha that I have only met once. I hear there will be a big reunion for Palmesanos and Palmisanos from the Midwest and out West within a year!
